Fulcrum Rocket
Description
The Fulcrum Rocket is a modern, ultra-lightweight recreational sailing dinghy from Fulcrum Speedworks (Bristol/Rumford, RI, USA), introduced around 2021. It's an updated evolution of classic American "board boats" like the Howmar Phantom (late 1970s) and shares visual similarities with the iconic Sunfish—but with significant improvements in construction, stability, cockpit space, and performance. Built using vacuum-infused vinylester fiberglass composite, it's designed for simplicity, fun, speed, and versatility: perfect for families, beginners, teaching sailing, casual day sails, or even light adventure/camping.
