ETF 26 Foiling Catamaran

ETF 26 Foiling Catamaran

Description

The ETF26, originally launched as the Easy to Fly 26 in 2016, is a revolutionary 26-foot foiling catamaran designed to bring the thrill of high-speed foiling sailing to both professional racers and everyday enthusiasts. Conceived by offshore racing legend Jean-Pierre Dick (a four-time winner of the Transat Jacques Vabre) and his team at Absolute Dreamer, it draws inspiration from America's Cup AC72 foiling multihulls but is scaled down for accessibility. The boat was designed by renowned naval architect Guillaume Verdier, known for his work on Emirates Team New Zealand's winning America's Cup yacht. Construction involves lightweight carbon fiber hulls built by Multiplast, with masts and booms from Axxon Composites, rudders and foils from Avel Robotics, and final assembly by Absolute Dreamer. It's trailerable, easy to rig in about two hours without a crane and emphasizes simplicity with a clean deck layout for crews of 3-4 people (max combined weight 260kg). A fleet of around 12 boats exists today, supporting a European racing circuit across venues like Lake Geneva and Mar Menor.
