Description
The Finnsailer 36 (also listed as Fiskars Finnsailer 36 or OY Fiskars Finlandia Finnsailer 36) is a classic Finnish motorsailer/cruiser built by OY Fiskars AB (the yacht division of the Finnish Fiskars company) from around 1976–1978 onward (production was limited, with examples from 1977–1979 common in listings). It's a heavy, robust boat blending strong motoring capability (for calms/headwinds) with respectable sailing performance, designed for demanding Northern European waters (Baltic/North Sea). The hull is solid fiberglass (often heavily laid-up), with a long keel or modified fin for excellent tracking and stability, skeg-hung rudder for protection, and a traditional profile (flared bow, cruiser stern). It's known for safety, comfort, and reliability—many owners call it a "tank" or "North Sea boat" suited for family cruising or longer passages.
