Finnsailer 35
Description
The Finnsailer 35 (also known as the Fiskars Finnsailer 35) is a classic Finnish motorsailer/cruiser built by Oy Fiskars AB (the yacht division of the famous tool company Fiskars) starting in 1969 (some sources cite early 1970s launches, with production into the 1980s). Designed for the demanding conditions of the North Sea and Baltic (inspired by local coast guard rescue cutters), it's a heavy, robust boat blending strong motoring capability with respectable sailing performance—often called a "true motorsailer" for its emphasis on engine reliability in calms or headwinds while still being fun and capable under sail. The hull is solid fiberglass (heavily laid-up to Lloyd's standards in many cases), with a long keel for excellent tracking and stability, skeg-hung rudder for protection, and a traditional profile (flared bow, cruiser stern). The interior is spacious and practical for its era (often 6–7 berths in 2–3 cabins + salon, good headroom ~6'4" / 1.93 m, large galley, enclosed head), with teak accents and storage for extended cruising.
