Finnsailer 30

Finnsailer 30

Description

The Finnsailer 30 (also known as the Fiskars Finnsailer 30 or Finnsailer 30 MS for "motorsailer") is a compact, seaworthy Finnish motorsailer/cruiser built by Oy Fiskars AB (the yacht division of the famous tool company Fiskars) from around 1980 onward (some sources cite late 1970s to early 1980s production). It was designed by Hans Groop (the Finnish architect behind the popular H-Boat and other practical designs), emphasizing a balance of sailing ability and strong motoring for Northern European conditions (Baltic/North Sea, where calms or headwinds are common). This is a heavy, stable boat with a fin keel and spade rudder for decent performance under sail, but it's primarily a motorsailer (lowish sail area/displacement ratio means it motors well in light air or adverse conditions).
