Finnfire 33
Description
The Finnfire 33 (also spelled Finn Fire 33 or Finnsailer Finnfire 33 in some listings) is a classic Finnish cruiser-racer designed by Eivind Still and built by Fiskars Oy AB (a Finnish company known for tools but with a short-lived yacht division) in fiberglass from 1976 to 1982. Approximately 60 hulls were produced, making it a limited-run boat with a strong reputation in Nordic sailing circles for solid construction, good all-round performance, and affordability—often described as a reliable "round-the-cans" racer and fast cruiser suitable for coastal or light offshore use. It's a masthead sloop with a fin keel and spade rudder, offering decent speed (especially off the wind) and stability for its era, though it may feel tender upwind in heavy breeze without reefing early. The interior is functional (V-berth forward, saloon settees, small galley/head; sleeps 4–6 modestly) with reasonable headroom (~6 ft) and storage for weekend/overnight trips.
