Farallon 29 (Golden Gate 30, Bidega 30, Bay Island 30)

Description

The Farallon 29 (also known as the Golden Gate 30, Bidega 30, or Bay Island 30) is a classic fiberglass masthead sloop designed by Chuck Burns and built by Farallon Plastics (later East Bay Boatworks) in California from 1975 to the early 1980s. As a West Coast staple, it was offered in various stages of construction for home finishers, emphasizing trailerable cruising with a heavy long keel for stability and shallow-water versatility. Around 50–100 hulls were produced, many customized for coastal or Bay Area racing.
