Farr 30 (Mumm 30)

Description

The Farr 30, originally launched as the Mumm 30 and sponsored by the Mumm champagne brand, is a high-performance one-design racing keelboat designed by Bruce Farr to deliver speed, simplicity, and excitement without rating rule compromises. Built from 1995 to around 2008 by Carroll Marine in the USA and Ovington Boats in the UK, with over 600 units produced, it features a 9/10 fractional rig, carbon fiber mast, swept spreaders, and a large rudder for exceptional control. The lightweight E-glass/balsa construction and bulb keel enable dinghy-like acceleration and big-boat stability, making it ideal for club, regional, and offshore racing. It served as the Tour de France à la voile class from 1999–2010 and remains active via the Farr 30 International Class Association
