F-25A RACE RIG

F-25A RACE RIG

Description

The F-25A (also known as the Farrier F-25A) is a high-performance, trailerable folding trimaran designed by Ian Farrier in the mid-1990s as a "cruiser-racer" evolution of the popular F-24. Produced primarily as owner-builder kits and plans through Farrier Marine (with some factory-assisted builds), it bridges the gap between the compact F-24 and the larger F-31, offering more interior volume for overnighting while retaining blistering speed and the patented Farrier Folding System™. Built between 1995 and the early 2000s (fewer than 50 units estimated), it's prized for its balance of agility, stability, and comfort—capable of 15–20 knots while sleeping 4 in a cozy cabin. Reviewers call it a "sleeper" for racing (PHRF ~80–90) and a practical weekender, though its rarity makes it a collector's item today. A related variant, the F-25C (carbon-fiber version by Colorado Composites), amps up performance with lighter weight and modern materials.
