F-22

Description

The F-22 (also known as the Corsair F-22 or Farrier F-22) is a modern, high-performance, trailerable folding trimaran designed by Ian Farrier and now produced under license by Farrier Marine (New Zealand) and Daedalus Yachts (USA). Introduced in 2014 as the spiritual successor to the iconic F-24 and F-27, it combines cutting-edge materials, simplified construction, and blistering speed in a compact, user-friendly package. Marketed as a “sport trimaran,” it’s ideal for day sailing, racing, weekend cruising, and even single-handed ocean passages for adventurous sailors. Unlike the discontinued Corsair-built F-24 Mk II, the F-22 is still in production (as of October 2025), with two main variants: F-22 Standard – Basic racing/day-sail version F-22R – Upgraded “Racing” version with carbon rig, longer bowsprit, and performance options It’s often called the “F-27’s little brother” — lighter, faster to rig, and more affordable, while retaining Farrier’s signature folding system and exhilarating performance.
