Esprit 37

Esprit 37

Description

The Esprit 37 is a 37-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat designed by American naval architect Robert Perry and first built around 1977 by Nordic Yachts (later associated with Uniflite/Valiant Yachts) in the United States as a comfortable offshore cruiser with moderate performance. It features a fin keel with a skeg-mounted rudder, cutter or masthead sloop sail plan, and a traditional looking but capable hull that appealed to sailors wanting serious cruising capability in a manageable size. Construction was solid hand-laid fiberglass with a ballast ratio aimed at good stability, and while exact production numbers aren’t widely published, the design has remained popular on the used market among cruising sailors.
