Ericson 35 Mk I
Description
Overview The Ericson 35-1 (also known as the Ericson 35 Mk I) is a classic full-keel cruiser designed by Carl Alberg and built by Ericson Yachts from 1960 to 1965. With a limited production run of approximately 100 hulls, it was Ericson's inaugural model, marking the company's entry into fiberglass sailboat manufacturing. Influenced by the Cruising Club of America (CCA) rule, it emphasizes seaworthiness, stability, and traditional lines for coastal and moderate offshore cruising, accommodating 4–5 comfortably. Featuring a heavy-displacement hull, skeg-hung rudder, and masthead sloop rig, it's stiff in heavy weather (excellent righting capability) and forgiving for beginners, with a PHRF rating around 180–195 for club racing.
