Description
The Ericson 28 (first version, often referred to as the original Ericson 28) is a cruiser-racer sailboat designed by Bruce King and built by Ericson Yachts (USA) starting in 1980. It’s a compact, well-constructed vessel known for blending performance and comfort, ideal for coastal cruising and club racing. Introduced in 1980, the Ericson 28 was the first in the 28-foot series, followed by the Ericson 28+ and 28-2, which introduced refinements like the T-cockpit and updated interiors. It competed with boats like the Catalina 27 and Pearson 28, earning praise for its performance and build quality.
