Endeavour 40
Description
The Endeavour 40 is a robust, center-cockpit cruising sloop designed by Robert K. Johnson and built by Endeavour Yacht Corporation in Largo, Florida, from 1981 to 1985. Targeted at both private owners and the charter market, it was produced in two variants: an "Owners" version with a taller mast, inner forestay, and extra winches for better performance, and a "Charter" model with a shorter rig for simpler handling. Available as a sloop or ketch, with around 185 units built, it's renowned for its spacious interior, high tankage, and comfortable motion for extended coastal or Caribbean voyages. With a modified fin keel and skeg-hung rudder, it balances stability and maneuverability, making it a favorite for liveaboards and families.
