Elite 29

Elite 29

Description

The Elite 29 (also known as Elite 29 or Kirié Elite 29) is a French performance-oriented cruiser/racer designed by Philippe Briand and built by Kirié (later Jeanneau/Kirié) in France from 1983 to 1990, with approximately 200–250 hulls produced. It features a sleek, narrow-beam fiberglass hull with a fin keel and spade rudder, a fractional sloop rig optimized for speed and ease of handling, and a comfortable interior for 4–6 people (V-berth forward, saloon settees, galley, enclosed head). The boat is celebrated for its lively sailing characteristics, good upwind ability, stability, and light-air efficiency in a compact, trailerable package suitable for coastal cruising, club racing, or family outings — a timeless design that influenced many later French performance cruisers.
