Elan FS7.7

Elan FS7.7

Description

The Elan FS7.7 (also known as the Elan 7.7 FS or Elan 7.7 Swingwing) is a 25-foot 3-inch (7.7 m) folding trimaran (folding amas/outriggers) built by Multiwinds International (USA Yacht or associated builders) in the United States, likely in the 1990s–2000s era. It's a lightweight, trailerable sport/cruising trimaran with a swing wing (folding) system that reduces beam from approximately 20 ft (6.1 m) rigged to ~8 ft (2.4 m) folded for easy trailering and storage. The design emphasizes high performance, shallow draft, and versatility for day sailing, coastal cruising, or light racing, with a spacious cockpit and basic accommodations (sleeps 2–4 in simple cuddy or tent setups). It's known for excellent light-air capability, stability from the wide beam, and fast speeds (routine 10–15+ knots, bursts higher).
