Downeaster 41

Description

The Downeaster 41 is a robust, heavy displacement blue water cruising sailboat designed by Henry Mohrschladt (with input from Bob Poole) and built by Down East Yachts in Santa Ana, California, from 1980 to 1981. As the largest and final model in the yard's lineup before its closure in 1983, it was essentially an elongated evolution of the popular Downeaster 38, featuring a revised coachroof for improved headroom and a more spacious interior layout while retaining the traditional Down East workboat aesthetics. Only a handful (likely fewer than 10) were produced, making it one of the rarest in the Downeaster fleet.
