Didi 26

Description

The Didi 26 is a high-performance, trailerable sailboat designed by Dudley Dix in 1997, built for amateur construction using radius chine plywood techniques. It’s a compact cruiser-racer with a length overall of 26’3” (8m), a beam of 8’1” (2.47m), and a displacement of 2,205 lbs (1,000 kg). It features a lifting or fixed keel (draft: 1’8”/0.5m up, 5’7”/1.7m down) and a fractional sloop rig with a sail area of 352 sq.ft (32.7 m²). The boat offers two rig options (tall or short) and a 400kg bulb keel for stability. Its construction uses plywood with epoxy coating, making it lightweight yet durable, with a stitch-and-glue cabin top for simplicity.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
