Chrysler 30 (CY 30, Ticon 30)

Chrysler 30 (CY 30, Ticon 30)

Description

The CY 30 (commonly listed as Chrysler 30 or CY 30) is a classic American cruiser/racer from the late 1970s, built by Chrysler Marine (USA). It was designed by Halsey Herreshoff (a naval architect known for performance-oriented boats) as a compact, affordable fiberglass monohull suitable for coastal cruising, club racing, and family outings. The boat is known for its forgiving handling, good stability, and reasonable speed — a solid entry-level racer-cruiser of its era. The molds were later sold to Texas Marine International (TMI), where it became the TMI 30 (or T-30), and subsequently to Ticon Yachts as the Ticon 30. Shoal-draft versions exist (draft ~3.92 ft / 1.19 m).
