Ct-65 Ketch (Scorpio 72)

Description

The CT 65 Ketch (also known as the Ta Chiao CT 65 or Scorpio 72) is a rare Taiwanese heavy-displacement cruising sailboat designed by renowned naval architect Robert H. Perry and introduced in the mid-1980s by Ta Chiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Production was limited, with fewer than 100 units built, many customized for blue water voyages. It's a stretched evolution of Perry's CT 54/56 series, featuring a full keel for seaworthiness, ketch rig for balanced short-handed sailing, and a spacious teak interior. Renowned for its robust solid fiberglass construction and "pirate ship" aesthetics (inspired by Bill Garden), it's ideal for couples or small families on coastal or offshore passages.
