Crown sailboats were primarily produced by Calgan Marine Ltd. in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, from the 1960s to the late 1970s, with some models built under license from Jensen Marine’s Cal Yachts designs. The brand is known for its fiberglass monohull sailboats, designed for recreational sailing and coastal cruising, with a focus on performance and durability. Crown 28 is a 27’9” monohull sailboat designed by C. William Lapworth and Al Nairne, first built in 1976. It’s a development of the Cal 2-27, built by Calgan Marine.
