Cross 42

Cross 42

Description

The Cross 42 Trimaran (often referred to as the Norman Cross 42) is a rare, custom-built American folding trimaran sailboat designed by multihull pioneer Norman Cross in the early 1970s (plans dated ~1974). Primarily a plans-only design for home or professional construction using plywood-epoxy or cold-molded plywood methods, only a handful of units (estimated 5–10) were completed, reflecting its niche for serious cruisers. It features folding amas (outriggers) that collapse alongside the main hull via stainless hinges, reducing beam from ~22 ft to ~8 ft for trailering.
