Corsair F 24

Description

Overview of the Corsair F-24 Trimaran The Corsair F-24 is an iconic trailerable folding trimaran designed by New Zealand naval architect Ian Farrier (1947-2017), first introduced in 1991 by Corsair Marine in Chula Vista, California. It's a high-performance racer-cruiser known for its blistering speed, innovative folding system, and ease of trailering, making it a favorite for day sailing, club racing, and short coastal hops. Produced in two main variants—Mark I (1991-1997, with a centerboard) and Mark II (1997-2000, with a daggerboard for better upwind performance)—over 200 units were built before production ended. The design evolved from Farrier's earlier Trailertri 18 and F-27, emphasizing lightweight construction (fiberglass with foam core) for planning speeds exceeding 20 knots.
