Contest 25-2

Description

The Contest 25-2, built by Contest Yachts (Conyplex) in Medemblik, Netherlands, is the updated version of the Contest 25, a classic fiberglass monohull sailboat designed by G. Luyten. Introduced in 1969, the Contest 25-2 featured improvements over the earlier Contest 25-1 (1959–1969), including a fin keel instead of a long keel and a slightly wider beam for better performance and interior space. Approximately 113 boats were built between 1969 and 1980, making it rarer than the 25-1 (~300 units). Known for its sturdy construction and suitability for coastal cruising, the Contest 25-2 is a compact, seaworthy cruiser with a reputation for quality.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
