Contest 25

Description

The Contest 25, built by Contest Yachts (Conyplex) in the Netherlands, is a classic fiberglass monohull sailboat designed by G. Luyten and introduced in 1959. As the first cruising yacht from Conyplex, it marked the beginning of the company's reputation for high-quality, seaworthy cruising boats. The Contest 25 was produced in two versions: the Contest 25-1 (1959–1969) and the Contest 25-2 (1969–1980), with a total of approximately 413 boats built (300 for the 25-1 and 113 for the 25-2). Known for its compact size, sturdy construction, and suitability for coastal cruising, it was a global success in its era. 11000 lbs. Disp. 4400 lbs. Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
