Comet 910 Plus

Comet 910 Plus

Description

The Comet 910 Plus (also known as Comar Comet 910 Plus) is an Italian fiberglass cruiser/racer designed by Jean Marie Finot (Groupe Finot) and built by Comar Yachts in Forlì, Italy, from 1980 to 1991. It is an updated/evolved version of the highly successful Comet 910 (1971–1987, over 1,000 built, co-designed by E.G. van de Stadt and Finot), featuring refinements like a slightly longer hull, updated keel/rudder setup, and improved accommodations for better cruising comfort while retaining strong performance for club racing or coastal passages. The "Plus" variant offers a more spacious interior (typically 2 cabins, 6 berths), good headroom, and a practical layout with a V-berth forward, saloon, galley, nav station, and enclosed head. It's known for balanced handling, decent speed in moderate winds, and solid build quality (fiberglass hull with skeg-hung rudder for protection).
