Columbia Sabre 5.5

Description

The Columbia Sabre 5.5, also referred to as the Columbia 5.5 Meter or Columbia Sabre, is a monohull sailboat with a complex history, initially designed as a one-design racer based on the International 5.5 Meter class but later adapted for cruising. Designed by Sigurd Herburn and Columbia Yachts, it was built by Columbia Yachts in the USA from 1963 to 1969. The boat’s hull was derived from a mold taken from the successful 5.5 Meter racer Carina, which won the 1958 Scandinavian Games Gold Cup.
