Columbia 52 Tall Rig
Description
The Columbia 52 Tall Rig, designed by legendary naval architect William H. Tripp Jr., was produced by Columbia Yachts (under Whittaker Corporation) from 1972 to 1973 in a very limited run of approximately 10 hulls. This flush-deck masthead sloop represents Tripp's final design—a high-performance racer-cruiser blending speed, stability, and luxury, with the tall rig option boosting sail area for superior light-air performance and upwind pointing, making it a rare gem for offshore racing or long-distance cruising.
