Columbia 36 Tall Rig
Description
The Columbia 36 Tall Rig, designed by naval architect William Crealock, was produced by Columbia Yachts from 1967 to 1972, with over 400 hulls built across the Columbia 36 series (Tall Rig as an optional configuration throughout the run). This masthead sloop variant boosts the standard rig with taller mast and adjusted boom for increased sail power (~10–15% more area) and better light-air performance, paired with a fin keel/spade rudder for agile handling—offering a versatile coastal/offshore cruiser that sleeps 5–6 in a practical teak interior.
