C-Lark 14

Description

The C-Lark was designed by Don Clark (son of Clark Boat Company founder Bob Clark) and first built in 1964 by the Clark Boat Company in Kent, Washington (near Seattle). The company, founded in 1960, specialized in fiberglass sailboats and produced early models like the Lightning and Thistle dinghies. The C-Lark was envisioned as Bob Clark's take on the International 14—a fast, planning racer—but scaled down to 14 feet for easier handling and transport. It draws visual and performance inspiration from the Thistle (a 17-foot open-bow dinghy) but features a closed bow for better wave-piercing and a shallower cockpit. Douglass & McLeod also built some units later in production.

Custom sail calculations are not possible for this boat as no I, J, P and E dimensions are available.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
