Cheoy Lee Offshore 41 Ketch
Description
The Cheoy Lee 41 Ketch most commonly refers to the Cheoy Lee Offshore 41 (also called Offshore 41 or sometimes Offshore 40 MkII), a classic bluewater cruising sailboat built by Cheoy Lee Shipyard in Hong Kong from around 1972 to the early 1980s. Designed by naval architect Raymond H. Richards, it replaced the earlier Rhodes Reliant 40 and was offered in multiple rigs: sloop (most common/performant), yawl, or ketch. This model features a modern (for the era) fin keel with skeg-hung rudder for good tracking and responsiveness, combined with Cheoy Lee's renowned heavy fiberglass construction, teak accents/interior, and offshore durability. It's built solidly (often to high specs), with a comfortable motion and spacious layout suited for extended cruising.
