The Cheoy Lee Offshore 33 (sometimes just called Offshore 33 or Cheoy Lee 33), a classic bluewater-capable cruising sailboat built by Cheoy Lee Shipyard in Hong Kong from around 1971 to the late 1970s. It's a heavy, traditional design with a long keel for excellent tracking, stability, and grounding forgiveness—ideal for coastal or offshore passages. Offered primarily as a masthead ketch (with some sloop or shoal-draft variants), it features Cheoy Lee's renowned solid fiberglass construction (heavily laid-up to Lloyd's specs), teak trim (cap rails, accents, often laid teak decks), and rich interior joinery. This model is distinct from the Clipper 33 (Luders-designed staysail ketch with clipper bow, full keel, more traditional aesthetics). The Offshore 33 emphasizes seaworthiness and comfort over speed, with a shoal draft option for versatility.
