Chance 44
Description
he Chance 44 was designed by American naval architect Britton Chance Jr., known for his innovative and competitive yacht designs used in big-boat racing and offshore cruising. It was reportedly built in Finland in the mid-1970s, originally with a ketch rig and a centerboard/swing keel that could be modified to a fixed keel in later refits, and likely only a small handful of hulls were completed (at least four reported by owners), making it an uncommon classic cruiser-racer with features such as a center cockpit layout and Perkins diesel auxiliary.
