Centurion 40

Description

The Wauquiez Centurion 40 is a highly regarded French performance cruiser from the classic Centurion series by Chantiers Henri Wauquiez. Designed by naval architect Ed Dubois, it was produced from 1986 to 1993, with a limited run of about 33 units (keeping it rare and collectible among enthusiasts). This model bridges the gap between the smaller Centurions (like the 36/38) and larger ones (42+), offering excellent speed, seaworthiness, and refined comfort — a true bluewater cruiser-racer capable of fast passages, short-handed handling, or competitive sailing, with the robust, overbuilt quality synonymous with Wauquiez from that period.
