Catalina 30 Tall Rig
Description
The Catalina 30 Tall Rig is a versatile coastal cruising sailboat designed by Frank V. Butler and built by Catalina Yachts from 1974 to 2008, with over 6,400 units produced across all variants—making it one of the most popular production sailboats ever. The "Tall Rig" configuration features a mast approximately 2 feet taller than the standard rig, increasing sail area for better performance in light winds and improved upwind pointing ability, while maintaining the boat's reputation for easy handling and stability. It's ideal for weekend sails, family cruising, or club racing, with a spacious interior that sleeps up to 7 and a forgiving design suitable for novice and experienced sailors alike.
