Cascade 29
Description
The Cascade 29 is a rugged, no-nonsense fiberglass cutter from the golden age of American sailboat design, penned by Robert A. Smith and produced by Cascade Yachts (Yacht Constructors Inc.) starting in 1961. With a fin keel and bulb for stability, it's built like a tank for bluewater reliability on a budget—narrow and efficient for shorthanded cruising, with a proven track record (multiple circumnavigations under its belt). Over 355 were built through the 1970s, emphasizing owner-finishing for customization, but that means many survivors need elbow grease on teak or plywood bits.
