Cascade 23

Cascade 23

Description

The Cascade 23 is a rare, compact pocket cruiser/day sailer from the Cascade Yachts lineup (Yacht Constructors Inc., Portland, Oregon), designed by Robert A. Smith (the same architect behind the iconic Cascade 29, 36, and 42). Production began around 1977, with only a handful built—often using older tooling acquired from Islander Yachts. Like all Cascades, it's built with their signature heavy, hand-laid solid fiberglass hull (no core for maximum durability), earning the brand's "bulletproof" reputation for surviving extreme abuse. This small sloop is a light, high-performance boat—quick and responsive in a breeze, suitable for daysailing, club racing, or short coastal/overnight trips. It's trailerable with surprising accommodations for its size (V-berth forward, small cabin, and cockpit seating for 4+).
