Carter 37 (One Ton)

Carter 37 (One Ton)

Description

The Carter 37 (often listed as the Carter 37 (1 Ton) or Carter 37 One Ton) is a classic IOR-era offshore racing/cruising sailboat designed by Dick Carter. Introduced in 1973, it was a production adaptation of Carter's successful One Ton Cup racer Ydra (which performed strongly in the 1973 One Ton Cup). The design balanced high-level racing performance with practical cruising features, making it a fast, seaworthy boat praised in period reviews for speed, solidity, and handling.
