Carrera 290
Description
The Carrera 290 is a high-performance, trailerable racing sailboat (with some cruising capability) designed by Swedish naval architect Håkan Södergren (known for fast, modern designs like the Swede 41, various IOR/IMS racers, and later IRC-optimized boats). Introduced in 1992, it was built in the USA by Edgecomb Marine Group (also associated with Casey Yacht Enterprises in some listings; production was limited, likely in the 1990s, with a successor redesign as the Carrera 280 in 1995—same hull but shortened stern by ~15 inches and deeper keel).
