Carol 24

Carol 24

Description

The Carol (more precisely the Carol 24 or Carol by Chuck Paine) is a charming, compact double-ender pocket cruiser/voyager sailboat designed by renowned American naval architect C.W. (Chuck) Paine of C.W. Paine Yacht Design. It's a home-build friendly design emphasizing simplicity, seaworthiness, and minimalism—"making do with less" while still capable of serious coastal or even bluewater passages for its size. Plans are still available for sale from the designer, and it's popular among wooden boat enthusiasts for cold-molded or strip-planked construction (some fiberglass versions exist too).
