Capri 37

Description

The Catalina Capri 37 (often simply called the Capri 37) is a fiberglass sailboat designed by Gerry Douglas and Nelson Marek, built by Catalina Yachts in the USA from 1990 to 1993, with approximately 40 units produced. Developed specifically for match racing in the prestigious Congressional Cup series, it features a flush-deck racer layout based on an earlier Nelson Marek IOR hull, emphasizing speed, agility, and one-design fairness. A dedicated fleet is maintained by the Long Beach Sailing Foundation in California for ongoing events. It's a high-performance boat suited for competitive racing rather than cruising, with minimal interior accommodations.
