Cape Dory 14

Description

The Cape Dory 14, also known as the Cape Dory 14 CB (Centerboard), is a 14.33-foot sailing dinghy designed by Andrew C. Vavolotis and built by Cape Cod Shipbuilding from 1964 to approximately 1985. A classic day sailor, it combines fiberglass construction with mahogany trim, offering a balance of stability, simplicity, and traditional aesthetics. It’s designed for recreational sailing and rowing, suitable for beginners and small groups in sheltered waters. It was a popular model with over 1,000 units produced. The design reflects Cape Dory’s focus on durable, traditional-style boats. It uses a sliding gunter mainsail rig.

Custom sail calculations are not possible for this boat as no I, J, P and E dimensions are available.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
