C&C Redline 41
Description
The C&C Redline 41 (specifically the Redline 41 Mk I or original version, often just called the C&C Redline 41) is a classic Canadian performance-oriented racer/cruiser from the pre-C&C Yachts merger era. Designed by Cuthbertson & Cassian (Design #66-5) in 1967–1969, it was built by Bruckmann Manufacturing in Ontario (before the formal C&C Yachts formation in 1969). Only 2 hulls were produced in this Mk I version—making it extremely rare—though a follow-up Mk II version (1969–1972) used new molds and built about 35 examples before the molds were sold and repurposed as the Capital Yachts Newport 41. This boat pioneered advanced construction: it's believed to be one of the first sailboats engineered with a balsa-cored fiberglass hull for lightness, stiffness, and strength without excess weight. It blends IOR-era racing performance (fast, stiff, and competitive) with solid cruising potential—timeless C&C styling with a raked bow, relatively flat sheer, low freeboard, and sleek lines that "look fast" even at the dock.
