C&C 38 MK I
Description
The series includes three distinct models: the original C&C 38 (often called the 38-1), the IOR-optimized 38-2 (1975–1977, with 98 built), and the redesigned 38-3 (1985). The 38-2 hull also served as the basis for the Landfall 38 (1979–1985, about 180 built), a more cruiser-oriented variant with a shallower keel, shorter rig, and enhanced interior for comfort. Production ended with the company's closure in 1986, but these boats remain sought after in the used market for their durability and sailing prowess. They feature masthead sloop rigs and spade rudders for responsive handling.
