C&C 34/36XL
Description
The C&C 34/36XL (also marketed as C&C 34/36+ XL or simply 36XL) is a high-performance 36-foot cruiser-racer designed by Rob Ball and built by C&C Yachts in 1989–1990, with only ~25–30 hulls produced during a brief run before the company’s financial troubles. It was created as a stretched, lightened evolution of the successful C&C 34+ and C&C 35-3, using the same hull mold extended aft with a longer transom, taller triple-spreader rig, deeper bulb keel, and reduced displacement—optimized for IMS and PHRF racing while retaining cruising viability.
