C&C 34
Description
The C&C 34, designed by Robert Ball and built by C&C Yachts in Canada from 1978 to 1983 with around 500 units produced (including the high-performance 34+ variant), is a sleek, IOR-influenced fiberglass cruiser-racer featuring a 33.5-foot LOA (34 feet for the 34+), 11-foot beam, and a fin keel with spade rudder—offering a standard draft of 5.92 feet (6.5 feet on the 34+) and a displacement of 10,100–10,800 pounds with 4,500–4,700 pounds of lead ballast for excellent stability and a capsize screening value under 1.95. Its masthead sloop rig delivers 549–598 square feet of sail area for a spirited SA/D of 18.2–19.2 and PHRF ratings of 120–144, making it a proven performer in club racing and coastal cruising, with the taller-rigged 34+ excelling in MORC and PHRF competition. The well-finished teak interior provides 6’2” headroom, sleeping 5–6 across a V-berth, quarter berth, and convertible saloon, plus a U-shaped galley, enclosed head with shower, and functional nav station.
