C&C 26 Encounter
Description
The C&C 26 is a 25.58 ft (7.8 m) masthead sloop sailboat designed by C&C Design and built by C&C Yachts since 1976. It is predominantly made of fiberglass with wood trim and features a masthead sloop rig, an internally mounted spade-type rudder, and a fixed fin keel. The boat is fitted with an inboard engine and has a draft of 4.60 ft (1.40 m) with the standard keel fitted. It has a displacement of 5,400 lb. (2,449 kg). The boat's design has been refined over the years, with the C&C 26 Encounter variant introduced in 1978, featuring a shorter rig and more displacement.
