Cal 9.2
Description
The Cal 9.2 (also known as the Cal 9.2 Meter or Cal 9.2 SL for "Sloop Long") is a classic American IOR half-ton racer-cruiser sailboat designed by Ron Holland. Built by Cal Boats (Jensen Marine) from 1981 to 1983, approximately 150 hulls were produced. It features a lightweight fin keel with spade rudder for agile handling, solid hand-laid fiberglass construction (balsa-cored deck), and a masthead sloop rig optimized for competitive racing or coastal cruising. Renowned for its speed and responsiveness in 10–20 knots, balanced performance, and surprising interior volume for a 30-footer, it's a favorite in vintage fleets.
