Cal 39 Mk Iv

Description

The Cal 39 (Hunt/O'Day), designed by C. Raymond Hunt and Associates, is a distinct evolution of the Cal 39 line, introduced in 1988 as a racer-cruiser. This model diverges significantly from the earlier C. William Lapworth-designed Cal 39 variants, offering a modernized design with enhanced cruising comfort and performance. Built by Jensen Marine/Cal Boats and O'Day Corp. (both under Bangor Punta), production ran from 1988 to 1997, with George Crowell acquiring the molds in 2001 to continue limited production in Little Compton, Rhode Island. Noted for its lighter, beamier hull and different planform compared to Lapworth’s designs, offering a fresh take on the Cal 39 legacy with a focus on cruising comfort.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
