Cal 39 MK II

Description

The Cal 39 MK II is an iconic American racer-cruiser sailboat designed by C. William Lapworth, representing a popular evolution of the original Cal 39 with a wider beam for added stability and interior volume. Built by Jensen Marine (Cal Boats) from 1972 to 1978, about 100 hulls were produced. It features a fin keel with spade rudder for agile performance, hand-laid solid fiberglass hull (balsa-cored deck), and a standard masthead sloop rig that's versatile for coastal racing or family cruising. Known for its speed, balance in 10–20 knots, and seaworthiness on short passages, it's a timeless design that holds value well,
